Ten Things You Might Not Have Known About Al

  1. My first paid professional photography job was when I was nine years old. Years before the computerized Multiple Listing Service, my father would drive me to each one of his listings to photograph the house to be included in the weekly listing book. For each one of these houses I received the whooping sum of 50 cents, per house.
  2. I’ve traveled to six of the seven continents with Antarctica being the only one left for me to set foot on. I’m hoping that I will receive a paying assignment to go shoot there soon.
  3. Except for my time in the Navy, I’ve eaten seafood and fowl since I was twelve years old. No beef, pork, lamb or anything similar for this kid, my stomach would be messed up for days.
  4. I’m a foodie and love to cook. I would have gone to culinary school after high school if they had competitive sports teams back then.
  5. As I was getting out of the Navy I had a first and second interview with the Central Intelligence Agency. At the time they advised against telling people about the job screening, however a few years ago I heard them advertising on the radio for candidates so I figured that wasn’t their policy anymore. As a follow up to the story, I never got a call back for a third or to be hired, their loss.
  6. I prefer to read non-fiction books.
  7. I’ve never had a hole-in-one myself, however I’ve been with five different people who have had one while I was golfing with them. That must make me some kind of lucky charm.
  8. Music speaks directly to my soul and I listen to all styles or genres. When I decide to treat myself and break away from more popular music I always seem to gravitate towards the Blues.
  9. The only movie that might be better than The Godfather would be The Godfather II. The Godfather III is a very well written story, however Sophia Coppola, (a last minute substitution for Wynona Rider) brings that movie down, in my humble opinion.
  10. Favorite food: Chicken Wings, usually Buffalo style (it’s all in the sauce), but KFC when available. I know what you’re thinking, but this isn’t the Colonels chicken, we’re talking Korean Fried Chicken, check it out and tell them Al sent you.
